These cameras are amazing! And you can use the solar panel as a charger for USB-C devices. Mounting was easy too.

I really like these cameras. This is our second purchase. We also have the light bulb cameras.The cameras here work well, audio works well, picture quality day and night are great! I would like these better if they moved. However there's are stationary at there location. They do have a very wide pick up. They are also portable. So you can even move them inside with the solar panel outside. Just make sure it has battery life.Set up is a breeze and easy to follow. Connection to wifi works well, IF you aren't too far away from the router. You might need a wifi extender box to surround your house.

Rugged camera, much more substantial than expected. Set up is easy, requires a 2.4GHz network which is common. Easy to connect using the app. Must create an account on the app and allows you to register the Amazon purchase to activate warranty as well. Voice prompts from the camera guide you through the connection. Very nice. Camera read the WiFi password from the phone very quickly. I've seen some cameras take forever to recognize the QR code. This was immediate. Motion detection works as expected. Has IR night mode and a light as well for viewing night time images in color. Includes two way audio, can record video to the cloud or using an SD card. Great value!

Great image quality in a compact package. I’ve used LaView cameras around my home for a few years now, this is my first solar charged one. Handy because there was no power on the outdoor wall I wanted to monitor. Was concerned that the small solar panel would have trouble keeping the camera battery charged since this is a north wall, little or no sunlight some days, but the battery reached 100% quickly and has stayed there. Based on my experiences with this camera, I believe it would run for days on a single charge, the solar panel need not be plugged in all the time (you could forgo the use of the solar panel completely if you charge the camera battery via the USB C port under the rear rubber cover). Setup is quick and easy using the app. Camera position is fixed once installed, no remote pan or tilt control. All in all a great camera for the money. UPDATE: I have tested the battery longevity by allowing the solar panel to charge it to 100% (required less than 24 hours), then unplugged it. Seven days later the battery is showing 75% charge. Conditions are “normal”, 45°-75°f ambient temperatures, PIR detection on, about a dozen still captures per day.

The media could not be loaded. I have bought Laview cameras; but so unsatisfied about this camera.I have follow the instruction. Fully charged with blue light. But no red indicator when turn "on"; even after holding reset button for 5 seconds. ....Nothing else I could do....

I’m a regular guy with a wife and kids, and we got this LaView solar camera for our garage. It was easy to set up, and the video is super clear, even at night.The solar panel keeps it charged, so no cords or climbing ladders. It caught a raccoon in our trash and my neighbor borrowing my tools without asking.Motion alerts send notifications to my phone when something moves. My wife used the two way talk to scare off a sketchy delivery guy. It’s been through rain. and heat and still works great. If you want a good camera, this one’s worth it.
