Great controller that has a hefty price tag.
Great controller for mobile devices. Currently using this for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and it fits perfectly, so long as you don't mind that the plug is on the side that makes the screen extend more from the bottom vs the top, making the overall feel a little awkward. This "issue" is more about how the phone/tablet is designed as opposed to the Kishi, so can't fault Razer for that.Functionality of the Kishi is great, if the game supports controllers, I've had no issues using this and it's been comfortable for longer gaming sessions. Being able to blaze through Dead Cells with this makes it so much better. Lighting on this is nice looking but not really necessary, but if that's your thing, then this does look "gamer".

A Big Upgrade from the Original Kishi—Perfect for Serious Mobile Gaming
I bought the Razer Kishi Ultra Gaming Controller as a replacement for the original Kishi after Apple switched to USB-C, and I’m glad I did. The Ultra is a big improvement in several ways.First, it feels much more like a regular gaming controller in the hand. The original Kishi was smaller, which made it more portable, but it wasn’t as comfortable for extended gaming sessions. While the larger size of the Ultra makes it less portable, the ergonomic design is a trade-off I’m happy to make. The buttons are another highlight. They have a satisfying click to them, which is a huge step up from the mushy buttons on the original Kishi. It’s a pleasure to use during gameplay.I also love the added functionality. The headphone jack and passthrough charging are fantastic additions, allowing me to charge my phone or use wired headphones while playing. My iPhone 16 Pro Max fits perfectly in the controller, even with my ESR and Anker cases on, so compatibility is no issue.Overall, the Razer Kishi Ultra is a fantastic choice for mobile gamers who value comfort and functionality over ultra-portability. Highly recommended!

Better than Backbone
I've used the Backbone PS Edition for a few years with lightning connector on an iPhone and have had a good experience with it. My main gripes are: smaller size not very comfortable, buttons are very clicks, smaller size makes it a bit hard to contort and reach certain buttons.Razor Kishi Ultra is much larger and contoured to fit your hands. Controls are better placed and feel like better quality. Cons, it does feel like it spaces your hands out a bit farther, and the buttons are very clicky much like the Backbone. Can be annoying for anyone sitting nearby, and not great if you are trying to be discrete. RGB is nice, but I disabled after a few hours of use. If you don't mind the larger size and price, it is a definite upgrade to the Backbone in my opinion.

Premium Build, But Software and Clicky Buttons Hold It Back
The Kishi Ultra is easily the best-feeling mobile controller I’ve tried—it actually feels like a serious gaming device rather than a toy, unlike the Backbone or Kishi V2, which remind me of Switch Joy-Cons. That said, while the hardware is impressive, the software experience still has some frustrating gaps.Pros:✅ Premium, Pro-Level Feel – This is where the Kishi Ultra really shines. It feels sturdy, with solid ergonomics that make it much closer to a full-size controller. If you’ve found the Backbone or Kishi V2 too small or flimsy, this is a big upgrade.✅ Extensive Customization – The app offers plenty of customization options, something the Backbone severely lacks. From button remapping to sensitivity tweaks, there’s a lot to fine-tune.✅ Chroma RGB Looks Cool… Mostly – The RGB lighting adds a stylish, high-end touch. It’s visually impressive and makes the controller feel more premium.Cons:❌ Game Store Lacks Netflix Integration – Just like the Kishi V2, the game store doesn’t recognize Netflix Games at all. For example, Dead Cells only shows the paid App Store version, while Backbone correctly lists it as free through Netflix. This makes me wonder what other platforms might be better supported elsewhere.❌ Xbox-Centric UI – The app heavily prioritizes Xbox Cloud Gaming, with dedicated sections. I primarily play native iOS games (Apple Arcade, Netflix, and emulated retro games), so this focus isn’t useful for me. PlayStation Remote Play is supported but doesn’t get the same attention.❌ Clickiest Buttons Yet – If you found the Kishi V2’s buttons too loud, this is even worse. The buttons are extremely clicky—more than they need to be—which can get annoying, especially in quiet environments.❌ RGB Lighting Is Overkill – While the Chroma lighting looks great, its placement is a bit much. In darker environments, it shines too directly into your face. I’d prefer it to be positioned elsewhere, like for bias lighting instead of front-facing illumination.Final Thoughts:The Kishi Ultra delivers the best hardware experience of any mobile controller I’ve tried, with a premium build that feels great in hand. However, the software side still has some gaps, especially with game store integration and its Xbox-first focus. If Razer improves the app and tones down the excessive clickiness and RGB glare, this could easily be the best mobile controller on the market.

Best Gaming controller for iPhone 15 Pro Max
I simply love this controller. It works with my iPhone 15 Pro Max WITH the case on. I don't even have to use the enclosed adapters to make it work.It connects quickly and easily. I basically fire up Call of Duty Mobile, and I'm winning games. Seriously, it took a bit of adjustment to watch an iPhone screen, but I'm getting 5-15 kd ratios, taking first place in nearly every match. The thumbsticks have a good feel that makes accurate aiming and movement a breeze. The triggers have enough play that you can feather your shots. The RGB is cool, though I'm not a big RGB fan, so if I didn't have it I'd be fine.My only complaint is that it uses the Xbox configuration for the location of the D pad. I hate it, since I'm so used to the PS5 controller. But I'm used to it, though I get a little confused when I try to hit the Dpad, and it's not in the location I want.Overall, this is a good buy. And even though the cost is higher than other controllers, you get what you pay for — high quality and high performance. Definitely worth the cost.
