Essential recipes for entertaining
This book offers delicious and easy recipes you’ll turn to again and again. We all want a handful of easy showstoppers for when guests come over, and this book delivers with recipes that are accessible to all levels. This book offers classic recipes that are perfect for appetizers, cocktail hour or picnics that will be sure to impress. The author offers helpful suggestions for pairings, substitutions and brands to try. The pages are beautiful and easy to read and a joy to flip through. The citrus octopus dish, Gildas, and mussels with chips are now staples when we have guests over. The anchovy shortbread was a lovely surprise. We plan to work our way through many other recipes this summer! This book has also become our go-to gift for friends and family.

Creative and Nostalgic!
This book has very creative recipes that remind us of dishes we had in Italy during my daughter's Make-A-Wish Trip (Rome & Venice). Especially our side trip to Burano. We also love that it is styled like our grandmother's cookbooks from the 1930s. Looking forward to adding these dishes to our entertainments.

Delicious and easy to follow recipes
I made several of the recipes for a tinned fish party and they were all a hit. Easy to make and easy to source ingredients made for great plan ahead party foods. Love these snacks and mains, I can’t wait to make some more recipes!

Beautiful introduction to tinned fish
I saw this on an IG post and decided to pick it up. It was ver informative and had great recommendations on particular brands to try for particular seafood. The recipes look really interesting and the graphics and overall motif of the book are very on brand. I learned a lot and can’t wait to try some of the recipes!

just ok.
Great illustrations. It has some interesting recipes, but most are fairly basic to the point it doesn't feel it justifies the book. Biggest issue is organization, really wanted to be able to reference based on types of fish/cans. Example, you get a can of octopus and want to know specifically recipes for that. Information isn't grouped together that way, you can find it in the index but it's a bit cumbersome. Also no squid recipes at all.
