Good quality, large toy
This was bought for our one-year-old grandson, Thomas. He's loving it. It has lots for him to investigate, all beautifully made from wood rather than plastic, thank goodness. The weakness is that it will tip if he puts his weight against it, so needs watching at present, until he can walk and balance better. I'm thinking of screwing it onto a varnished, matching plywood base to keep it from tipping, but his mum thinks it is fine. It's lovely to watch him playing with it. The "wire" arrangement at the top is strong and keeps him truly fascinated. He also loves using it to pull himself up into a standing position. It's not the cheapest of this kind of toy, but it's one of the largest and, so far as I can see, one of the best made.

Great gift idea !
Bought this for my 6 month old granddaughter's Christmas present. Although she cannot yet stand up, she loves the colours and attempts to move the various cubes, balls and dials. Her 2 year old sister loves playing with it with her and patiently explains to her how it 'all works'. I have no doubt it will be a treasured addition to the toy collection for both of them !. Its one of the best activity cubes I found. Its strong, well made, colourful and will help with hand co-ordination and dexterity . To make it more stable for when my granddaughter is more mobile, I saw a tip on the website that suggested putting heavy books inside the cube which I think is an excellent idea.

Lovely, but...
Our 13 month old boy loves it, and plays with all of the different sides. From an adult perspective, some of the plywood used in construction looks a bit B-grade, but there are no splinters or anything to worry about. You get the feeling that the manufacturers worked themselves into a hole with the alphabet activity by only using animals for the pictures on each letter: A is for alligator, B is for bees, etc. The problems arise when you get to Q, which we've decided is a quail. Not sure Eddie will be needing that one any time soon. X also difficult: they have put a picture of a fish skeleton on the block, presumably to indicate X-ray. I call foul, as electromagnetic radiation is not an animal. It could be an X-ray tetra fish of course, native to the Amazon and Orinoco basins, but the dorsal, pectoral and ventral fin markings are inconsistent. I would have suggested Xoloitzcuintli instead of course, which would have had folks scratching their heads a bit longer. He likes the beads as well.

Baby loves it but unfortunately not very good when they're 7 - 9 months and learning to stand up. The corners are sharp and our baby has now cut himself right above the eye when he fell on this. Surprising they don't build it with soft cushioned edges and corners!
