M.2 Heatsink Cooler 2280 SSD Double-Sided Heat Sink with Thermal Silicone pad for PS5/PC PCIE NVME M2 SSD(Black）)

I purchased this for a Crucial 4 TB PCI-e Gen 4 SSD. I monitored the temperature while transferring files to the drive, continuously, for one hour. Files were transferred in groups ranging from 105 GB to 135 GB at a time and the temperature never exceeded 39 C…AND the port the drive is in is directly below the graphics card. Obviously the graphics card wasn’t under load at this time but the physical proximity of the card limits air flow and drive still never exceeded 39 C.By comparison, the system SSD (a 1 TB Samsung Gen 5) which utilizes the heatsink that came with the motherboard maintained a temperature of 43 C….so Gen 5 definitely runs hotter (as expected) even while idle.Based on what I’ve read, 50 C is an acceptable temperature for an SSD when it’s idle, so I’m amazed that the drive never exceeded 39 C when it was under load for an hour.

I bought this M.2 2280 SSD heatsink after my PS5’s 2TB NVMe SSD kept crashing. Turns out, it was overheating without a heatsink. This cooler fixed the issue completely! Installation was a breeze—took me about 5 minutes and the heatsink fits perfectly in the ps5 space

Great heat sink. Bought for a Samsung 9100 Pro and fit perfectly. It’s easy to assemble and reduced my temperature from hovering around 54c down to around 34c. For the price, that’s phenomenal.

Easy to install, someone else’s review mentioned to make sure your motherboard has enough room to accommodate this heatsink because it is a little chunky in size. It comes with thermal strips to adhere to the front and back of your m.2 SSD and has been working well thus farI only took a star off because there was a piece of what looked like a small piece of earwax stuck to the instructions

Was easy to install, came with instructions. Great design because the fit is adjustable depending on the thickness of the ssd. In my scenario I have a big 5080 graphics card covering the ssd, so it gets practically no airflow. So before installing the heatsink the ssd would idle at 70 degrees Celsius, which is way too hot to idle at. Now it stay at like 42 Celsius. Crazy 28 degree drop but that’s probably only because in my case, it was already at 70 and gets zero airflow.

Works perfectly in my PS5 and was easy to install. Noticed my PS5 started running slow using m.2 card. Now notice after installing this that m.2 card is cooler and everything running faster.

Moving a drive to a new PC that did not have heatsinks on the motherboard. This performs very well. Operating temp went from 52C without to 42C with. Could probably get by without the heatsink but why risk it for the price?
