Haws Heritage Galvanized Watering Can with Wood Handles, 2.3-Gallon/8.8-Liter, Burgundy

I would like to give this 4.5 stars if I could. It is by far the most expensive watering can I have ever bought, and I was very unsure about getting it. But I have had it most of the season now, and it is great. I can see I will have it the rest of my life. It's made with quality. It makes a gentle spray without a tail of running water. The storage nub is so convenient. For a serious gardener, it's worth it. I can't give it 5 stars because the wood handles were rough, and I had to use fine sandpaper and smooth them. I shouldn't have had to do that at this price! But 20 minutes later it's all good, so not a deal breaker for me.

First, the positive. I got the burgundy, which is gorgeous! I was worried because the color appeared to be magenta on my computer screen. My problem with this product is that after I finish watering, water continues to drip out of the rose head leaving a trail of water—not just a few drips—as you move to the next plant. Very disappointing to say the least.

This is such a nicely balanced watering can, different handholds give you different options. Holds about 2 gallons of water. The color is a breathtaking ruby red that is so nicely played up by the round copper (or is it brass) rose. The watering can also has a place to stick the rose on if you don't want to use it for watering, no more misplaced parts! Looks nice enough to leave outside in the garden when not in use.

The product itself is quite well made and very easy to use. The storage spout for the spray head is very handy. However it is very expensive and I would classify this as a vanity purchase. Nonetheless its well made and should last a lifetime.
