I loooved my french press. It was easy to use, dependable, always there for me and my coffee needs. Making my coffee with it was my meditation in the morning. All was great and normal until it literally exploded while drying after I washed it.You may be thinking, with the "double glass design [that] holds heat", that pressure could have built between the glass pieces, that I must have washed it with really cold water after it was really hot or somehow vice versa.But no, the glass had been cooling all day. I made coffee in the morning and didn't wash it out till that evening. It was normal/room temp when I washed it. But I did use cold water.This very normal combination--room temperature glass and cold water--should not be the threshold at which a glass product explodes, shatters of glass flying everywhere.Not sure if this was a one-off thing, but it was concerning. I'm just glad I wasn't near it when it did explode. The photos are right after, I didn't touch a thing before taking the first one, and cleaned out the rack and thrown out the french press for the second.

The French Press looks nice and makes the best coffee in a few simple steps. It is very elegant and may seem complex, but making coffee is easy and tastes great. I would recommend this to anyone, especially someone that wants to get rid of their Kuerig!

This is the best think to make flavorful coffe. I get rid of my fancy coffe mashines and stock with coffe press for years. It keeps aroma and bring best of flavor. Beafiful style makes it look great on my dining table in the morning.

I love everything about this press except for when I go to pour it. The spout and internal mechanisms do not make for a pretty, splash free pour. The coffee went a little wild and I had to clean up after pouring. It was not user-error but perhaps an overlooked design flaw.It is so pretty, however, and I only use it when coffee drinking guests are visiting, so I’ll keep it.

Glass doesn't affect the taste of water (unlike steel or plastic) and I also love that the carafe is one-piece glass construction, so there's no separate metal housing/holder to clean or worry about scratching the glass. The glass feels durable, the plunger and filters do the job with no problem, the size is perfect (about 4 cups, not too big or too small).

Very easy to make coffee. Not only is it plain and simple, the look itself is very nice. It keeps my coffee warmer for a longer time and has a premium quality. Also, it has a great size, just enough for making enough coffee for 4 people and very easy to wash afterwards.

I wanted to love this press because 1) the dual layer of glass would help to keep the coffee warm, and 2) glass is better for maintaining the flavor of the coffee. I currently own a metal, and, while great for its thermal quality, it seems to change the flavor of the coffee. Prior to that, I owned a glass press, which broke after a year. The inner bottom layer of this one, however, shattered the second time I used it. I had no idea because it was under the screen and layer of pressed coffee. So...the screen works! Amazon was quick to issue my refund after I called.

Love, love, love this French press coffee maker.It is not only beautiful but it makes a great cup of coffee.
