There's an old adage that can get something that's 2 of strong, light and cheap but never all three. This is light and cheap but certainly not strong. It broke after half a dozen uses on wife's bike - she's 50Kg and his was on her road bike used to commute to work.The post was set using a torque wrench to get the right tension and only 4 inches of post were exposed so there is no excuses other than a really poor part.

For the price i wasn't expecting much, but this is a quality made and really nice looking seat post.

I've just taken my bike in for a service, & the shop owner told me to take the post out as they are unsafe, as a number of them have broken. Not happy with this purchase.

Well finished and easy to fit. Using quick release collar to hold. Really light at about 155gr. Saved 330gr on alloy (450mm length) Bontrager post.

Mine has broken already, also found it difficulty to get to some of the screws in the seat post. Does look good though but only lasted me weeks

If you could give a product zero stars this would be it. This seat post is NOT fit for purpose, it looks the part but in no way should you buy this seat post!!! its a plastic post with carbon lookalike covering. The bracket for attaching the seat is useless as you cannot actually tighten one of the the allen bolts. Ask for your money back as its a copy of the real thing.. in no way is this a Genuine Easton EC90 seat post!!!!

I'm sad to say that the seatpost broke on my third ride using it. Fortunately it stayed in one piece so I did not fall, but made for a difficult ride home. I fitted it carefully using carbon paste and only torqued to 4Nm. It's clearly not up to the job. The one star is for the delivery being quick and hopefully followed by a refund.
