One of my best choices ever!
I bought this for my junior-high age son (then, with a hope and a prayer, I waited, if you have a son this age you know what I mean). A few days later he came to me and said He actually read it and said he LIKED it. I nearly fainted. This book is written really well, it is an easy read and is small in size. If I had given him a big book on etiquette and manners it would have been a waste. This was PERFECT. I've noticed him actually using it and our mom and son squabbles on getting ready and social behavior has been greatly reduced! Yay!

Advice is mostly obvious.
This book is fine and written clearly. Though much of the advice given is obvious. Can’t say I was impressed.

A Butler's Guide to Gentlemen's Grooming
The book touches on several areas that are pertinent and offer good advice. It has an easy-going style. I gave it to my husband who is already well-groomed but he thought it still helpful.

Every style cliche' is touched upon, and arcane secrets like brush your teeth and bathe daily are revealed. Why we need a butler to tell us anything, except how to be a devoted servant to some rich bastard is beyond me. You want to know about grooming and style? Great tips and worth the money.
A great little book with most of the things you will need to know. Everything from how to press a pair of trousers to what to wear at Ascot. Well worth the small amount of cash.
