Maps International Giant World Map Poster – Mega-Map of The World – Front Lamination - 46 x 80

I LOVE IT!! THIS THING IS HUGE AND COLORFUL. YOU CAN READ EVERY BIT OF IT.The only thing I would point out is the fact that this is 'Paper', and it is heavy. Heavy due to it's size. If you pin it up, use at least 3 pins across the top. Be careful when you are stretching it out, to even it out. I ripped the corner on both sides of the top. I just used a piece of clear tape, and looped it over the back. Then, I put the pins through the tape. If you are careful, you will not tear it. And, it is in fact glossy.

The size of this map is amazing it takes up a wall in our office and we use to it mark the travel points of where we all have been.Great for teaching the geography of the world as well.if you are looking for a great teaching tool this is the Map for you. I love that it's laminated so it definitely will hold up to being used a lot.

Very easy to read, durable and mostly accurate map of the world. There is some distortion at the edges but it's not misrepresentation, simply the challenge of translating a round object in space to a 2 dimensional media. Kids loved it, easy to hang, would be great framed or without a frame

I love this map and the size of it. FYI: We used special double-sided tape for hanging posters and such, that we bought at the hardware store. My 4-year son loves geography so he studies this map intently. I love the colors, and the fact that it's laminated.There is one thing I DON'T like about this map, which is that it has Russia, New Zealand and Alaska on BOTH corners of the map! I understand that they're trying to show that the world is round.. yadda yadda... but my 4 year old is so confused. He came to me and said "Did you know that there are two New Zealands?" I kept telling my son he was wrong, only to find that he was telling the truth after seeing this map! In my opinion, let the globe do the job of explaining the concept of the earth being round...That map is big, it's beautiful, and it's actually a nice piece of "art" in my living room. Hard to offend anyone's tastes with a world map.

Lightweight beautiful map, brilliant colors.

Excellent! Easy to read and the large size alllows out whole family to peruse it at the same time.My only (small) complaint is that it doesn't show all of the earth. I understand that it's a political map, but it's primary label is a "World Map" and "Political" is the subtitle.Maybe the Van set Grinten projection wasn't the best choice, since placing it on a rectangle requires either truncation of the polar regions, or a lot of wasted space in the corners.

I love everything about this map other than it doesn't have a compass rose. I use it for homeschool, so drawing a compass rose will be an art project for my kids. The map is huge, big enough to see Rhode Island. I did not buy the laminate one. It is still pretty thick and glossy. I haven't tried wet erase markers on it yet, but it looks like they will work. This map came rolled, so it was never folded thank goodness.

The map is missing some labels for nations seemingly for political reasons (State of Palestine for one). I think when it comes to educational and referential materials, if they're biased towards a political or religious affiliation, I don't think they're very useful. In addition, I ordered the paper version and got the laminated version which causes a lot of glare at night which is exactly why I ordered paper. The size is good and the art style is classic.
