First off, I cleaned the trunk lip of my car and then wiped it down with alcohol to remove alllll the residue.Then I used a hair dryer to heat the guard, both to loosen it/flatten it from being wrapped up tightly and to get the adhesive nice and sticky as well.Then I went to apply it. Several issues with this. One, the glue. See pic, there are quite a few spots where it is too thick and due to that, the guard looks.. lumpy. I tried squooshing it flat but it just would.not. Second, also the glue. There are quite a few spots where the glue does not go all the way to the edge, and so those parts just stick up/out. :(Also the one I received does not resemble the picture, because the edging is red and not black like the listing photos look. So be aware of that? I guess?Frankly I just wanted to protect my bumper because it already had some light dings and keep it from getting further dings, and I guess technically this will do that, hopefully, but it looks awful. And I say hopefully because I am not sure how long this will hold on. My trunk lip is at an incline and not flat like some other vehicles I have owned, and I could see it eventually coming off, the glue was thick but not what I'd call super sticky, I could remove part of the guard easily and reposition it. Which I only did once because usually that's not good for adhesive.Disappointed, because I really hoped it'd add somewhat to the look of my vehicle, and boy does it. But not in a good way. :(

I ordered this for my wife’s Rav4 (says it fits), but it didn’t. That being said I have a Ford F150 that it fit perfectly. Was suppose to use for the Trunk, but ended up using for the door. Hence the 3 stars. It is well made and looks great. Easy to install, peel and stick. Once it is stuck, it won’t come off. The material is rubber and the flag looks great, it seem to be a bit out of align, but that is because I stretch it to put on, and it won’t move after you peel the backing. Overall good product but make sure you measure your vehicle and this product before ordering.
