Throwing Axes and Spike 3Pack Set

I bought these for my son’s birthday which isn’t here yet. They look pretty cool to me. I don’t know much about the sport and can only hope they are the design that he is looking for. From what I can tell they seem to be balanced well. They all are the same weight or really close. They came with some nice sheaths both the axes and knives and are individual so each blade gets its own. They seem super sharp which surprised me. I didn’t think they trusted people with sharp objects any more at least not without a signed waiver. I feel that the size is about what I expected and not deceitful. Unless he cry’s about them they have earns 5 stars from.

This is one of those products that is for fun or maybe someone wanting to learn an oddball hobby. I have used better but solid construction and I can let friends use them without much concern of damaging the hatchets. At the current price it works out to about $13 a piece which isn't bad at all. They throw pretty well and have a reasonable edge since you don't need razor sharpness by any means. Time will be the test but as long as they aren't left out in the elements with some basic care these should last most users for quite a while, even if you need to re-grind the edges due to damages that will most likely happen at some point.

I bought this set in anticipation of a graduation party and was initially pleased at what appeared to be good build quality. That being said it didn’t last half the day before someone pointed out that the handle screw fell out and the rest were loose and liable to be in the same position if they were not immediately tightened. Could I go to the hardware store and find a screw to fit? Of course and I would after at least a few weeks of solid use given the price point but a half an afternoon means this merits a return.

Pretty standard on the weight despite what i am reading.Throw nice and stick well. Good value 4 the price.I won't comment on the handles because ive yet to see a handle that survives long on any throwing axe when throwing them by the set. ;)Overall...nice price,nice set,good balance,seem pretty durable and I am pleased.

I ordered the “JXE JXO Throwing Axe Sets, Overall 10.2in 3-Pack Throwing Tomahawk, Full Tang 420HC Stainless Steel, Design for Hawks Throwing Recreation and Competition” to review and to finally try axe throwing. I love that these come in a set of 3. I also love that they each come in their own protective sheath. I also love the feel of the grip in my throwing hand. They feel well balanced but I am only just getting started with axe throwing so I have a long way to go before I can give any advanced review or advice there. These are considerably smaller than your average wood chopping axe/hatchet but I think that makes these a great starter set. They appear to have arrived with some protective oil on them which now leads me to believe that some post-use oiling may be necessary to keep them from rusting. The spike on the backside of the head is interesting and provides another challenge for throwing but seemingly makes these a bit more dangerous. Me and my son have had some good fun with these. They are very sharp and come wrapped with protectors, which I was glad to see. They do not seem to "stick" as well, though, when throwing ax end first - the smaller end seems to make better purchase. They have nice even feel to them, nicely distributed weight and a good strong feel in the hands. Feels sturdy and of a high-quality material. They've been a nice way to get my kid outside and into the competitive spirit. They are super sharp though, so just be super careful when handling. Good quality and I think it's a good price for the 3 of them.
