HD web cam - that's it really
No frills and it does not make you handsome - oh, wait, that's probably just me. On Windows 10, I had to download the software that was supposed to install run and play myself from a search of the web! It works well with Windows' Camera app. The microphone is like an afterthought. I'd use my own so set the cam's audio to off.

For the price, a solid webcam
I don't have a lot of need for a webcam - it's literally just used for Skype. I don't do professional recordings, and the people I'm talking to are usually using an iPad, so it doesn't need to be an amazing 1440p or 4K resolution. Therefore, for the price, this webcam is excellent. It appears to be actually 1080p (unlike some that I found when searching), rather than scaling 720p up to 1080p, as you can see the difference when you change the setting to 720p.Setting up the device was as simple as plugging it in. Although the instructions included a link to download software, I decided to try the Windows 10 camera app first - which worked fine, and even let me change its settings just fine. Equally, Skype worked out of the box. Therefore, I skipped the software and just ran with the drivers Windows downloaded itself (which were detected as "AUSDOM Webcam" so I guess they're correct) which seems to be fine. The device itself clips on to my monitor just fine, using the provided mechanism. It doesn't snap on as such, just leans on the back and is held in place with the front notch. For this reason, it can be removed easily if it distracts you, and also acts as a tripod mount for if you want to attach it to one. The mechanism also is strong enough to work as a stand, angled up towards you if on a table, for if you don't like it on your monitor.Audio and video quality is fine, about what you expect for the price, in 1080p of course. If you want better audio (and remember this device may be a fair distance from you when you speak), consider buying a headset as well or a standalone microphone, but for day to day use it's perfectly audible and is easily acceptable.Overall, I'd definitely recommend this webcam in its price range for someone who just wants a no-frills proper HD camera that just works.

Xbox compatibility - gives a green screen
Bought this to see if it would work on my xbox one. Plug and play and xbox recognised it but the video screen only transmits a greenscreen. So I couldn't get it to work on xbox one and running the latest xbox one update.Works fine on windows 10.I would send it back but cost £24 and would only get £19 back so may as well keep it for the price due to 3rd party supply.

Very good for closeup (easy to setup)
For facecam work (skype calls and screenshares sat at desk) this cam works fine. A significant improvement on inbuilt webcames most laptops boast. I don't use it's inbuilt audio as i have my own. But the quality seemed good when i tested it.The adjustable grip is sturdy and easy to adjust. It has a degree of rotation (a ball and pivot joint for a neck) that allows for delicate adjustments once you've got the height right. It is absolutely plug in and play, requiring no software to be recognised by the PC and start working. I use Bandicam for video recording which caused some lag but this was not the cameras fault I don't think. I did notice that if you used the cam to show the wider room that people sat further from the camera were blurry. Again this could be machine/internet connection etc but it loses a star as i only notice the 1080p when sitting right in front of it. Deeper into the room it's much the same as inbuilt camera was. A shame as taking stills from meetings was one of the things we wished to accomplish.Still, i think it is very good for the price and certainly an improvement over what we had in place previously.

Not A Bad Web Camera At All.
Not a bad web camera at all. Surprisingly pleased with this one. I had my doubts… But my fears were abandoned after playing about with it. If you are moving about a lot and changing your distance from the camera, then an auto focus is good for initially setting the focus, but after that, you lock it. If on the other hand, things are more permanently positioned, i.e. your regular sitting distance from a PC and/or laptop…Then this purely manually focused web camera stays set up. I found it a bit fiddly at first, because my fingers got into shot when setting the focus with two little pins on the side of the lens, as opposed to turning a barrel on the outside. However, once I worked out a way, by trying to turn the focus using just one of the pins, I eventually got my permanent-fixturefixture focus set up.
