not exactly what I needed thought would be bigger in size so would not work for what I needed

Got these as a trial while waiting on other diamond bits.Set up a container of water on the drill press platform to keep my piece submerged and the bit cool.Used the 1/8 core bit first. Going slowly it had good bite drilling through granite about one inch deep. (Definitely go slllllowwwww and light pressure).Then I moved on to an opalite piece. Not great. Upon further inspection I notice that the shank is not true straight. It wobbles, and that wobbling action I think is why the opalite cracked straight down the middle adjacent to the hole. See pic. The opalite is translucent, the crooked hole is visible.A 1.25” bit from the set came with the nickel plating already flaking off. That one cut two holes in granite just fine, again while submerged in water. I didn’t wipe off the bit inside and it surface rusted immediately lol.For sedimentary stone like river rocks or granite I would say they’ll work.For gemstones or semi precious stones, not so much. I expect to get more than four holes from a drill bit. I also expect to be underwhelmed when I spend so little on industrial tools. So I’m neutral here.The 1/8 bit is spent- trash. The others are of various sizes which I’ll use for future random projects, just not on any hard stones.

Drilling marble tile is a breeze

I do a lot of stone and marble craving as a hobby. Purchased these for cutting circles of various sizes in different type of stone and marble. The "diamonds" encrusted on these bits is way to thick and eats a lot of material creating way too much waste. It is also difficult to get a hole started even when mounted in a drill press. Attempting to start a cut at an angle (as suggested by manufacturer) is extremely difficult as the bit will slide along the work piece and mar the surface with unwanted scraps/cuts. I have always kept the bit and material being worked on cooled with water to help remove the stone dust from the work area, but this doesn't even seem to help.

Works good

I ordered these bits so I could put holes in the bottom of some ceramic pots. It worked perfectly. Once we figured out how to start cutting into the ceramic.

Value for money

Ad described, only needed the smallest one but the rest look as good. Drilled 2 holes in a bottle with minimal effort so thank you :)

Price was cheap but should have known better you get what you pay for in this case cheap rubbish, not fit for purpose

I have used it for a bathroom job and so far they perform great. the only issue is the shanks are too slippery, had to grind the round shank into octagon so drill chuck will grab it properly. other than that, it drills well and smooth, you want to add a bit of lubrication, water, or others to work properly. I'm happy with this purchase so far.
