No wonder its now only twelve bucks...
I was excited to add this device for Prime and Netflix searching and viewing. Immediately I noticed the poor speaker quality but decided to look past this and not return it since it would be used 80% of the time with headphones. If the sound is up just passed 50%, its crackly and garbled. Its not that old still, get light use and now the battery is going downhill - only lasting for about two to three hours of run time. I would have bought an Android tablet if I had known.

Good Slim Case
Great cover and stand. Slim design. Hard lock into the cover, so it doesn't move around. The magnetic couplings for the different stand configurations are not quite intuitive, but very useful (and the information on the Amazon site clears it all up). Color selections are nice.

Fairly nice little red case , stays shut with magnets. Wish it would stay lined up better when open otherwise a good item like great when shut Fire HD 8 Fit is correct, I got the red one.

OK case
I was trying to replace the case I had for my Fire HD 7 because of course the Fire HD 8 needs a larger size case. This one sounded good but isn't what I wanted. It's a hard case, sturdy, but I can tell I should have gone for the more expensive case.

Do not buy!!
Instructions that it comes with are trash. They are not complete sentences, much less anything to follow. I cannot even figure out how to TEST IT! They need to do a much better job with explanation. Very disappointed i waited so long for something i cannot figure out how to use!

Works fine, decent quality except the stand on slippery surfaces
Works fine, decent quality except the stand on slippery surfaces, but my hubby bent a wire coat hanger into a stand for it and now can watch and touch it easily on any surface.

Much better than my previous case!!!
Maybe all these cases look the same but they are not. My prior case was a mess, had to take it together and chunks of plastic broke off...THIS case is soooo much better and seems to be better made without and weird plastic cracks, etc.

easy to open and close
easy to open and close. wish they had more great colors or designs to choose from. this isn't the best to proctect if you drop it.
