Once you have this in your tool box you no longer look like a messy tech while stripping any size wire. Not those large battery wires though, the difference between this tool and the much smaller ones on market is, this one is a 100% metal with rubber grips no copper wire will cause it any damage, it's kind of heavy but what matters the most is it does what it's made for the way it should. Even as a home owner who does DIY around your house you really need this tool, just remember to release the little yellow safety pin when using it.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  OYISIYI Wire Stripper can not cut wires, because of the gap 1mm between the knives and it can not strip the wires. I bought IRWIN VISE-GRIP 2078300, these can cut and strip wires directly from the package. IRWIN are more expensive by $4, but the quality is 10 times better.

I have to manipulate the grabber side so it holds the wire firmly. Then i have to do the same thing with the cutter side. I'm not sure if all these tools work like this, but i wouldn't have purchased knowing this upfront.

I read reviews on LOTS of these and settled on this one - it has lots of options to tighted/adjust the tool, but I found they just don't seem to stay tightened right. I mostly use 14/2 Romex and it is constantly not stripping the wire, or it does after I tighten it, but then it struggles again. It does better on thicker wire for sure.... almost always success using 12-gauge. Overall, I wouldn't buy this again. Grip excellent.

product seems to be well built but unfortunately it does't strip the wire. I tried various wires of different sizes but the resultwas the same. It strips a thin layer of the plastic coating but doesn't expose the copper wire. There were no instructionswith the product & you tube was very vague. I have not sent it back yet but plan to shortly.

Doesn't really strip well. The adjustment screws already came loose. Overall it seems really poorly constructed. Maybe I got a dud, but it's not useable.

You do need enough lead length and clearance to strip, so might be hard for things that are attached on one side, but great easy stoppers.

I've used it for a few months on a few home projects. It works good for me on 14 gauge and larger. smaller wires don't grab and the adjustment knob doesn't seem to do anything to help it. I have to press on the top a little while using it for smaller wires to strip. But, I like it for 14 or 12. easy to use.
