Excellent product
I don't know who invented the self-cleaning slicker brush, but nonetheless, I hold them in high esteem. Because these are so easy to use, pets get brushed on a more regular basis, so their coats are soft and shiny. I haven't found they eliminate the need for a Furminator (brand intended), especially during shedding season, but the self-cleaning slicker brushes are fantastic for daily use. One of our cats loves being slicker brushed so much that just hearing the click of the bristle button causes her to come running, plop down and surrender to the brush.As per this particular slicker brush, I find it to be excellent quality. It's very sturdy and has a padded grip. This product is identical in construction to the Hertzko brand slicker brush--it's just a different color.

Excellent concept. Cuts grooming time in half.
I have 3 double-coated dogs that get brushed daily. This brush makes the task so much easier, cutting grooming time in half. The brush is sturdy, the wires are of good quality. The mechanism to retract the wires could be a bit smoother, but works like a charm nevertheless.

Wonderful!
Use it on my Border Collie. She is a difficult customer! This one she hates the least and it gets more on the under growth that tends to mat up. I am super pleased with the excellent self cleaning aspect. Sure I’d a great little find!

I like this brush. I have several dogs and it works great. My favorite part is at the end of brushing a dog it self cleans the hair out of the brush. I thought it was so good I bought another and gave it to my father-in-law.

Very nice and works well
Very nice and works well. I do wish I had ordered a smaller one. We dohave a big dog but it's hard to get into smaller places.

this brush is great. my dog never use to like being brushed but now she will stand there and let us do it. when she see us get the brush she comes over and stands next to you. awesome.

It's unbelievable how well this thing works you can brush your animal push the button and all the bristles were tracked into the head and you just brush the excess hair off

The bristles seem like they may flatten over time
Works adequately on my Aussie mix. The bristles seem like they may flatten over time, and if they do I'll update this review. I like how the self-cleaning mode is default, so the bristles are put away when the brush isn't in use.
