Great comfortable to use.
Surprisingly good. Bought it for the good price and I liked the trigger front. I find the trigger on the front way easier to use. Pleasantly surprised with this nozzle. At very first time it leaked around the spray changer but that went away in about 15 seconds. It must have been an o-ring seating. The lever on the top at the back adjusts the spray volume really easy. Super control of volume so you don't destroy the wifes delicate flowers or turn it up and switch it to flood setting or regular nozzle. Versatile and handy. Tough so far too.

Awesome water nozzle XT301
This is for the Melnor XT301 as one listing shows several different nozzles. Solid performing water hose nozzle. With the exception of the soaker function, this nozzle works great. I can use all functions for one purpose or another and adjust the water pressure right at the nozzle or lock the flow open if I want too. Awesome. The soaker function just pours water straight down instead of being like an open hose as it should be, but that's not enough to detract a star. This is one if the best nozzles I've had. No leaks like some others have said. If it's clicked in a position no leaks. If it's not all the way clicked to a position it will leak, but it has very positive clicks so you know what your spray pattern will be. And can't beat the price. Wish I'd bought two.

My choice for many years
I have had several Melnor nozzles over the past few years. This one has the cone setting, which I have found most useful in the past. They still need to work on the labeling, where it doesn't start wearing off over a single summer. I always remove the lock-ring. I find it to be more in the way than helpful. It is easier to work than the previous model. They will last several years, if you will remember to not live in freezing or 100+temps. Also, a little WD-40 occasionally will loosen up the trigger's shaft.

Nice nozzle, but I don't think it's going to last
It works real well as expected right now. I don;'t remember ever seeing anything corrode this fast.Looking inside after removing it fro the hose there's a lot of corrosion after about a month.

Good Product and excellent customer service
I'm pretty frugal in writing reviews but I was blown away by the customer service of Melnor. This one deserves it.I bought a nozzle in 2017 for backyard, was very happy with it, ordered another one in 2018 for the front yard. After almost 10 months of use, 2 weeks back the 2018 bought one's screw broke off the base while I was turning it. I was checking in amazon to buy another one then I found the 2 year warranty Melnor offers. Sent an email to customer service with a picture of broken nozzle and the amazon invoice. Got the next day response saying that they are sending a new nozzle. With in a week I got the new nozzle shipped to my home at zero cost. This is heights of customer service and I'm impressed. Thank You Melnor for offering a quality product and amazing customer service.

It's the WORST!
This thing is horrible! I know it's cheaply priced but I had high hopes. How hard could it be to make a functioning nozzle? Apparently, pretty stinking hard for Melnor! When I opened the package, I thought that the awkward ergonomics was going to be the worst thing about this item. It feels odd in your hand. The trigger pull is shorter than you might expect and to get the best leverage, you have to position your holding grip at the bottom of the handle area. It's just weird. It felt sturdy though. Heavy. So I thought I'd give the ergonomics a pass as long as it functioned well as a hand held nozzle. Boy, was I in for some disappointment.Of all the settings, only one puts out a clean stream. It's called CENTER - but I'm not sure why it's called that!? It shoots out about 8 tiny streams, but they're clean and appears to work as planned. The others, not so much. The worst was called SOAKER and it's anything but! I can't figure out what it's supposed to be doing but what it accomplishes is making a lot of noise and sends a clumsy stream of water straight down from the nozzle to the ground. Basically all over the hand that is holding the nozzle. It's not a stream either. The water just falls to the ground without much water pressure at all. I'm puzzled about how this is accomplished.(I guess the MIST setting works pretty well, though)Even thought it's inexpensive, I'd give this a pass and just use your thumb. WAY better results with the thumb technique.

Best spray nozzle I've ever used!
Most of the spray nozzles I have used have spray patterns that are hardly recognizable from each other. This heavy-duty nozzle is a major improvement over others. The misting nozzle truly mists! Each of the eight patterns are unique. I love the ability to control the flow with the separate lever on top! I like this so much that I am ordering another for the backyard.

Not the greatest but only $10
I'll give it 3 since it's only $10. Leaks from the nozzle. Only had it a month and have been watering grass seed for most of the last month. I use this one out front. It's ok. Bought the Gilmour stainless steel for a little more and love it. I use that one out back for all the grass seed and my vegetable garden. Just an all around better nozzle but also $17. This one is worth $10. You're taking a chance on it crapping out on you or maybe it will be awesome like most of the other people supposedly say. I'll be replacing it with another Gilmour

SOLID WEIGHT AND FEEL, SMOOTH FIRM ACTION
Pretty pleased with this nozzle, it operates smoothly and firmly and the various f;ow settings all seem to give an added boost to overall distance which makes it easier for my elderly mother not to have to drag the whole hose out.The master flow volume paddle is terrific as it is a wide paddle-like lever and makes it easy to operate by thumb to slow down the stream so she can fill her watering cans without getting showered with spray-back lol.Haven't had it long but I'm guessing from past experience it will last a long time - not flimsy. Great tool for those with hand or wrist limitations - i.e. elderly mother :-)

Great nozzle, very happy
I really like this nozzle so far. It was reasonably priced and feels much more solid than the crappy one it replaced from CT (broke after 1yr). I am hopeful that it will last a long time. I also really like having two means of controlling the water pressure. It has an adjuster on the top that allows you to set the maximum water pressure and then the standard trigger to activate the water. This gives you much more control than my old nozzle which just had thre trigger - it's particularly helpful if you're watering flowers and want to avoid applying too much pressure.

Good for the price, metal parts are great!
Like the solid brass nozzle. Plastic handle feels a little flimsy, but for the price a great spray nozzle

Good quality
I chose Melnor for its reputation for quality and a front trigger for accuracy of aiming. I am not disappointed. It plugged up once with dirt from the hose and I had to take it apart - easy to clean and reassemble.
