Mikey, Wireless Microphone Bluetooth, Handheld Portable Bluetooth Mic, Connects to Android, iOS, and Computers - Black

I ordered two of these Mikey units together as I have another electronic device by the manufacturer that I love. I was so disappointed in my purchase of these mics. First, one unit did not work at all and I returned it (although the return process was amazingly customer friendly-Thank you, Amazon and Kohl's.); the second one I ordered for a colleague and while it worked, I, from experience with this type of karaoke mic, found the volume to be insufficient. My colleague is satisfied with it, though and didn't want to return it. So, immediately after returning the unit, I ordered two other karaoke mics through Amazon UK, from a different maker, similar to one I have used for over three years, and am extremely pleased with both. I just reordered four more of the one I just described from the different maker in UK. The Mikey version was inadequate in one case and nonfunctioning in the case of the other. The Mikey did have a nice protective zippered case that I thought was a great feature, but if the unit is defective...

The disappointment began with the wrong color. The item pictured was matte black. It looked like a serious piece of equipment. What I got was a "bait and switch" to glossy black, which looks more like a plastic toy -- even though the material is actually metal. Once it was fully charged and I powered it up the disappointment level plunged to total dissatisfaction. Any device calling itself a "microphone" ought to be able to at least double the volume level of the human voice input and this thing DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE.With my wife listening to me from 10 feet away, I spoke into the unit without pressing the "power on" button, and then said the same thing with the button pressed and my voice presumably amplified. I said "presumably" because that was what we expected to happen -- what is supposed to happen with any microphone -- but rather than a significant volume boost, the biggest difference was that my voice took on a slightly electronic quality with the power on, as opposed to its natural acoustic quality with the power off. Ampliflication? NFWThe only thing this thing does effectively is produce an echo effect when that function is engaged. If that gimmick is reward enough for your money, then get one of these toys. Mine is going back where it came from.

Did not work any at all. Tried it with different Laptops and various mobile devices and not even the speaker section would work, not to talk of the microphone section.Good thing is, I bought through a seller who is "Amazon friendly" and they refunded the total cost of the item.I would like to think I got a damaged product but do not want to try another to see if it will work should I purchase another.

The microphone has constant static noise which is very loud and audible. The metal cage that was suppose to protect the speakers are hot glued on, so it falls apart easily after a bit of usage. When singing, there are very loud crackling/popping sounds which is also very annoying. Would not recommend or ever buy this product again.

My kids love these. They use them daily for their singing and beat boxing. The echo is cool for them. This is not a professional set up but is definitely worth the money for the kids to have fun with.

So convenient and easy to use and I’m always using it to be the MC of my house and karaoke drunk with my friends haha
