Urashima Furik No Salt/Katsuo, 1.94-Ounce Units (Pack of 6)

My husband cannot stand fish. At all. So, I asked him to taste this furikake, and said it tasted smoked/bacon-y. I jumped in and said, "Yes, that's what it tastes like to me, too!" So, I hide the containers and hope he doesn't read the ingredients. He loves what it does to food. Umami!

Nice flavor but you still need to add your own salt/soy sauce.

I thought that furikake with less salt sounded like a good idea, but I have to say that it tastes very bland to me compared to the furikake I've had in the past. I may just be missing the salt, but it also seems as if the sesame flavor is stronger and the nori and bonito flavors weaker. I guess I would recommend this to someone who has a strong need to reduce salt intake, but otherwise, I'd recommend getting a more traditional Japanese version. I don't intend to order this again.Added note: When I bought this, the price was $21.54 , which is fairly typical for furikake. The current price, $54.79, is absurd.

I have been using this product for at least 20 years it reminds me of what my grandmother set out on the table at special events with the family.I also introduced this to my grand children and great grand children and they all loved it, Thank You, Bookemdano

Yum! Lots of umami punch. Plus, you get a lot.

I actually can't eat steamed rice without it now. I also like to add it to eggs and soup. I keep a bottle at home and one at work. Definitely comes in handy when I order delivery on a whim at work.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good they tasted.I used to buy other brands which were usually loaded with salt and MSG.The Urashima ones had not MSG.Will buy again!
