Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this cable considering the price. I've had bad experiences in the past with garbled serial outputs on similarly priced cables for different applications but this one worked great for a Ubiquiti Edgerouter ER-4 that was hanging on boot. Just search up some USB FTDI drivers if it doesn't automatically get them for you and you're good to go.I do find it a bit strange that these cables aren't bundled with essentially enterprise hardware but that's irrelevant to this review, this cable is top notch.

It worked as it should have and during a critical repair where it's required that is all that counts so 5 STARS it is. Spent 10 times the cost of this in time trying to find the drivers so I could use old style console cable with USB adapter like I initially did without success. This cable has the drivers embedded via a chip. No messing around.

Cable works great in Edgerouter and Cloudrouter hardware. Makes diagnosis much easier.No issues with getting OSX to identify the cable and then use "screen" to connect to the console at 115200 baud.

Works as expected, no driver needed on my Mac OS 10.14 machine when using Serial app by Decisive Tactics.
