No it isn't . I made mistake . I would never think amazon would be selling non authentic items

This is the authentic "Hermes Bel Ami". This is a classic fragrance. I've been using it for over 20 years but I am thankful that it can be purchased at a discounted price via on-line shopping!

Q: How does this compare to the first edition that was featured in a ‘shaker bottle’? Vintage. The formula has since changed.

Yes, the formula has changed. I never had one of the original vintage bottles. I only started buying this about a decade ago. Myself I took the approach toward many of the vintage colognes, such Cuir de Russie. I am never going to have the original bottles, so the vintage scent maybe alluring but not available. I have purchased some originals at estate sales and on ebay. If you are that committed, try that route. This is still an arresting scent whether it is identical or not.
