I have been using a washcloth to wrap my hot curling and flat iron in when I need to travel - I saw this idea and bought myself one and I love it. I don't travel a lot but I have used it twice in the past few months and it works great. I ended up buying two more - one for each of my daughters as Christmas gifts and they were very excited - they take their styling products to the gym and they also both have cats and don't like to leave their hot tools on the counter to cool.

I like this item. Take it on trips all the time. I did add three more pieces of Velcro to the side (one above & below) the one on the pouch. I felt it needed to close a bit more securely.

This is a dandy little bag. I stored 2 different sized curling brushes in it on my last trip. I really liked it over some of my other heat resistant bags because I did not have to wind up the cords . I put the plugs in the small pockets, just kind of folded the cords, and laid them in the side and velcroed it shut. All done and ready for my suitcase. The silver heat resistant side was handy to lay my hot iron on anywhere I needed to put it.

Laid this on the hotel bed to iron my hair in the room so I didn't tie up the bathroom. When I picked it up, the sheets had a black mark, it had only been laying there about 5 minutes. I didn't even notice the bag being scorched until I got in the truck and was putting up the cords. Glad I don't throw this into my bag. I do think it works well if you let your iron cool down a little before placing it into the pouch, that's what I usually do and haven't had a problem until I let it sit on it plugged up. Kinda the whole point though, being able to throw your hot iron in your bag in a hurry and go. Also I only put my straightener on 375, not hot as it will go.

Spacious and good price, but the heat of a hot straightener or curling iron can still damage whatever the item is placed on.

the foil part melts/distorts when it comes in contact with the heat. all of the extra pockets are helpful though.

I wasn't sure if this "flat iron" protector would work for my curling iron, but it was my favorite of all the protectors I found, so I took a chance and purchased it. IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!! The pocket protects everything in my suitcase from the heat of the iron if I'm in a hurry to pack after I've used it, and the envelope-like style keeps the cord neat and contained so it doesn't catch on my clothing. I love this style and recommend this to anyone who travels and likes to keep their hair nice.

It was not what I expected...its not flexible enough to roll it up ion the suitcase. It did fit my curling iron and it looked well made so I can't take stars off because I did not like it. I would recommend it to someone who liked that style. Its rather large.
