This light beat lights that were more expensive!
The media could not be loaded. When I started my ride, I was expecting this light to be easily outshone by the other lights I was going to use, but Fenix has surprised me yet again!Even though my question was answered wrong (about the mounting bracket) The ones who answered couldn't have known, because they didn't open the box!Anyway, back to the subject of this review. This light is VERY bright, and a good deal for your money, (refer to my video) It has a mix of a flood AND a spot beam, and while neutral white isn't my favorite Kelvin color, (I prefer more of a 'white' white) This light is 2000 - 3000K, (warm white) and I prefer 3100 - 4500K (cool white)Sorry, got off subject again.Anyway, It's a neutral white light, and has what Fenix refers to as a 'dual-distance' beam, meaning the beam has a cut off, so you don't blind oncoming cars/bicyclists/pedestrians. Another feature I love, is the remote (wired) switch, and even more so now that they've upgraded it!It used to only let you temporarily press it (each press only gives you 20 seconds of full brightness, 1 of only 2 things I don't like about this light) but now, you can turn it on or off, switch modes, AND give a bright flash! You can even give someone a 'high-beam' flash if your light is off! This light is almost better than it was when I got my first "BC30" 3 nearly 4 years ago! ALMOST. (more on that later)I have this light on a bicycle fork mount I also got here on Amazon "https://www.amazon.com/Front-Light-Extender-archmount-Extension/dp/B01GJFS2PE/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=bicycle+light+fork+mounts&qid=1561065749&s=gateway&sr=8-2" but you can only do this with an older style mount where the bolt comes out the front of the mount. I used the mount from my old 'BC30'.Meanwhile, the other lights I had at the time, were a "Light & Motion Seca 2500 Race", and a "Magicshine Eagle M2", and I was doing some urban riding; however, my ride takes me through some wooded areas, so I like to have as much light as possible, and where the "Magicshine Eagle M2" alone would be good for mountain biking, (or so it claims) it was bright, but not as bright as it claims (I don't think so, anyway). Also, I believe the "Seca 2500 Race" was too high to do any good. (it was on my helmet)My ONLY 2 gripes about this light are these: 1) Isn't there a way to make it that you can get full brightness for longer than 20 seconds at a time, and don't have to hold the button down to do so? 2) The mounting system was good the way it was, (or so I thought anyway) can't you make the original mount available as an aftermarket purchase, Like "Niterider" did when they switched to that strap mount?Thank you "Fenix", I hope you read this.

Great light
I mountain bike. Riding to and from the trails at night as well as on the intermediate/advanced local stuff I do at night this light was a huge plus. I had a couple of lights before(one helmet - 550 Metro and one bars 850 expelion). This light easily replaced both of those. The focus of light in the middle of the field was brighter than my other two combined but the lensing allows for a wide even spread that keeps me from having to run a helmet light anymore. That's my experience on my trails. Even tight downhill switchbacks are illuminated enough to see where I need to focus.Negatives? - buttons should be recessed as they can be hit in your pack.Heavy as a mofo. I understand that it's got a massive batter to put out that much illumination but it's not a feather. This doesn't come close enough of a negative to outweigh the usefulness of the quality of light it produces. Great product and I'd recommend it.

Expensive but well worth it!
It doesn't look it but this light packs a lot of punch! I know they market it with '1600 lumen' is not entirely appropriate as you won't keep the remote button pressed all the time, so in reality you'll only be using 800 lumen max (for 2.5hrs that is). But 1600 burst is still good as an 'optical horn', and it does light the heaven out of the darkest roads! With other useful features like the OLED telling you how much juice it's got left, a convenient +/- brightness control, and a healthy battery life of 4.5hr at 500 lumen, it's quite adequate for most casual and serious riders (I reckon...). Yes it does come with a high price tag, but you get what you paid for. A lot of other lights cost less but do much less. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a powerful and practical flashlight while price is not a big issue.

This light has been awesome. I'm familiar with most of my rides so I use the lowest setting 200. Approx 18 hrs life. I switch to highest 800 on technical parts then go back to lowest setting . I have had 4 1 1/2 Hr rides with the same charge. I can squeeze in a 5th ride before I need to charge. The handlebar mount is great. Strong grip and easily mountable and you can manipulate easily while riding. Awesome light. It is a great light to invest in. My first light is a CYGOLITE Trion and it's amazing as well. I use both when I'm on a first time night ride and new trail. The area is like literal day lite when both lights are used.

AWESOME!!!
Not as bright as the BC30 BUT it's equally beautiful and functional. Love the fact that I don't have to second guess how much juice it has left before re-charging.
