Trodat Small Date Stamp, Military Format (12 NOV 2015), Black Ink

I ordered the Trodat prints-dater 4810 (DD MMM YYYY format). I received an seemingly equivalent item labeled Zigel D10. This is not acceptable even if there is some relationship between the two companies Trodat/Zigel (which I could neither confirm nor deny). It feels like a cheap knockoff. See the date stamp in the photo: the placement of the day digits is spaced too wide. I cannot compare to a genuine Trodat model as I didn't receive one ...

I liked this model because it is one of the few that gives date in Military style DD-Month-YYYY. Stamp looks good when stamped on paper. However the quality of the stamper itself is awful. The case is a flimsy thin plastic. The self-inker broke as I tried to insert it. Unfortunate. I will use it like a regular stamp with an external pad but what a waste of plastic...

Perfect for U.S. military office workers that need to stamp correspondences in proper military format. The stamp is good until 31 Dec 2027 and stamps perfectly every time. The ONLY complaint that I would have for this stamp is that the font is a bit smaller than I would like it, but fits in places where a smaller font would be better. If you are looking for a military format stamp, I would highly recommend this one. These stamps are very difficult to find in this country as we normally use the MM DD, YYYY example. You cannot find these in any office supply store unless you have them custom made, which would end up costing much more. Thank you for having these available Amazon!

Tough to find a good date stamp that does military time. Found this and bought it because of its positive reviews. Came today and I find it just OK. Quality of construction was OK, but not great. I like the size and its mechanical function...simple and easy. I have to say that the numbers are a pain to change and plan to get ink on your fingers when you do. Not bad for the price, but I'd pay more for something better made. Thankfully I won't be a heavy user of this. Bought it more as a convenience.
