Great quality as usual from outwell good strong poles easy to erect

Not suitable for using outdoors in the sunshine for any length of time.
It looks good. But - the fabric is very flimsy and "deteriorates if exposed to daylight for long periods." (Who knew?) The first day we put it up the fabric started ripping where the velcro tabs are sewn on - they're under a lot of strain as they go round the metal supports - very basic design fault! It served its purpose as a summer garden shelter - erecting and dismantling way too complicated to put it up and take it down more than once a year. As were erecting it the third year one of us made a tiny hole with a thumb - special tent repair tape didn't work and by the end of the season the roof had a 5ft rip. We assumed we could buy a new cover, as this can't be the first time a customer has experienced this - but disappointed to be told we had to take the whole tent - metal frame and plastic cover - to the local authority rubbish dump! Hardly an environmentally friendly solution - shame on you - Outwell!

The fabric cover is very thin and tight, prone to tear at velcro fixings
We didn't actually put this shelter up until 23/4/'21 as it was bought as a xmas gift for my husband. We had an Outwell event shelter before which we had left up for most of the previous summer. When we took it down, the fabric tore very easily. We fixed it several times with gaffer tape but it would just rip somewhere else. We could only conclude that it was UV damage. New cover sheets were not available, so we bought this one to replace it as we preferred its dimensions, the different frame configuration and the extra height at the entrances. It went up relatively easily, the poles are linked together but you have to be careful with orientation of the curved ones. Best with 2 people. The height at the centre is about 2.4m so you need a step.It is quite a palaver to put up so we'd suggest it's not something you would want to be putting up and taking down on a regular basis eg on camping trips. The problem we have immediately is that the fabric is already ripping at the velcro fixings. Very small tears as yet (just a few millimeters) but we are concerned they will readily propogate once it has been up for a while. All that said, we like it very much so we just hope it will last more than one season like the other didn't.

Total Rubbish!!!
Bought in March to 'enjoy' garden during the first lockdown....after 3 months in the garden the fabric totally disintegrated in the sun! sent back for a refund....don't buy it's a junk!

Good shelter let down by awful quality
Unfortunately this shelter is far from my perception that Outwell were a decent quality brand. One of the corner clips was missing from the cover. In addition they had taped the seams over the velcro fasteners (where they didn't need to) and that tore the thin material when pitching it (as the velcro pulls on the tape which pulls material).I contacted Outwell directly thinking it would be easy to get a replacement cover, but they took ages to reply and we're very unhelpful. Luckily Amazon were great as usual and sent a replacement. The replacement is the same - really poor quality with the taped seams. The only positive is that the frame is strong and is good even in strong winds.I've got nothing against stuff made in Cambodia but Outwell have some major quality issues that they need to rectify. I'd avoid this... Should have gone for a Coleman shelter instead

Sturmerprobt
