Sturdy Safe and Effective
The Ebelyn nail clippers for small cats and dogs was a great find and for the price a great value too. These pet nail clippers are built nice and tough. You can tell they will last a long time. What's nice about these nail clippers is that they are easy to use.The blade itself is not particularly sharp but it is designed in a way to make a clean cut. The design of the blades (the area where the nail goes) is beveled/curved so you know exactly what and how much nail you are cutting. This is important so that you don't accidentally cut the paw.The main parts of this device are made of steel so it should last a long time. The handles are covered in a hard rubber like material which makes gripping it more secure and comfortable. Finally, the nail cutter has a nice third finger grip which is nice for more conttol to maintain balance while you cut.Good value. Good design. Good materials. Recommend.

Cat Clippers that work for under $7.00?? Say What??
It's hard to get too excited about cat clippers, but I was indeed excited to find this pair with many good reviews with a price less than $10.00 (I need to get out more). That's kind of like the Holy Grail of pet product shopping for me. I ordered these to use on my small 16 year old cat after misplacing my primary pair (not really sure how one misplaces cat clippers, but I can now say it happens). The clippers feel sturdy and my cat tolerated the clipping well, mainly because these are sharp enough that they don't crush the nail while simultaneously trying to cut it - big plus in my book. Only small complaint is that they could have been sharper - but since no damage was done to the cat's nail and they did their job at a great value, I think I'll just say I really think they earned the good reviews and I hope not to misplace them.

Works great!
These nail clippers are perfect for rabbits and guinea pigs! We have two angoras and it has gotten very difficult to clip their nails. We started with standard nail clippers (people version) when they were babies, then moved to scissors, and now that they are full grown we found it very difficult to cut the nails without twisting their toes. Leaving the nails to grow isn't an option because they often break off on the wire cage and can really cause them a lot of pain.I knew these clippers existed from when I raised rabbits as a child, so I decided to see if I could find them. Yeah, Amazon makes it super simple and at the price there just wasn't a viable excuse. Just be mindful of the quick (the pink flesh inside the nail) and give them a bit of space between that and where you make your cut. It's like our nails when we cut them too short, but worse. If you do accidentally clip it and the nail begins to bleed, you can put a bit of corn starch or flour on the tip of the nail to help stop the bleeding. (I haven't done this since I was a child and it was with a very grumpy rabbit that tried to scratch as I was clipping. Just be careful and you should be fine. If you mess up, soothe the animal, say you're sorry, and apply a bit of first aid.)

Great Product, Great Customer Service
I ordered these nail clippers to trim my Peanut's nails. I've never had a dog so small and he is all of 6 lbs. when soaking wet. I have larger dogs and I have always dreaded cutting nails. Peanut's nails are so small and I didn't know how he would react with nail trimming. I have various sizes of nail clippers and I rate this nail clipper as one of the best that I have used. It is easy to use, the cut is nice and clean. I had my little boy's nails trimmed with little to no trauma due to the ease of use and the fact that the cut did not splinter his nails which would have meant I would have had to either dremel them or use a nail fileI appreciate the email Ebelyn Pet Care sent after I received my nail clipper. I am a trainer and a dog owner and I have purchased many dog products throughout the years. This seller is one of less than a handful of sellers that has ever bothered to ask how I liked their product. I recommend these nail clippers, they are very easy to use and my little boy was very good which made it easy to trim his nails.

Disappointed
I bought these clippers because I lost a pair that looked similar to this, which I really loved, and read a lot of good reviews on these ones. However, I was quite disappointed in the product for two reasons.First, my hands are on the smaller side and the thumb hole on the scissors is up a little too far for me to use comfortably. They are not unusable, but not comfortable. For larger hands, this may not be an issue.Second, the blades were so dull. I am hoping I got a bad pair, and that this is not the case for all of them, but regardless, my poor kitty meowed and pulled away every time I clipped a nail, which is not normal for her. It was not a smooth, easy cut, and i think clipping the nail was pulling on her upper nail/skin.Bottom Line: Unfortunately, after one use, these are going in the garbage.

Great clippers for cats
I am hesitant to give five stars...but these clippers deserve it for sure at our house. My five year old cat has always let me clip all four paws weekly because he's had it done since we rescued him as a tiny kitten. These trimmers are sharp and efficient and work WAY better than the guillotine style which dull very quickly and cost way too much. My fourteen year old cat has claws on back only due to an infection at the time of rescue in one of her front paws when she was only six weeks old. Because of this, we really didn't worry about trimming her claws. As she has aged, her back claws get very long and sharp. She will not let us near them, until now! She has allowed me to trim her "talons" as long as a treat comes with it. I'm keeping these and will get more! For the price and quality, it's worth a try.
