Well made, comfortable and better than nothing in a crowded environment.
I have some doubts as to the true purpose if these masks . The packet in which they are sent to you simply refers to their use as dust masks in, for example, the construction industry. If they are truly in compliance with the relevant EU standard then surely the packaging would state this very important fact. I doubt that they can genuinely be referred to as medical masks. They do however seem to be well made and comfortable, although I have yet to wear one for any length of time. I have read that there are several ways of checking their ‘genuine’ surgical claims. Tearing the mask open will confirm if they really are 3 ply. I have yet to do this. Another test is to fold the mask into a funnel shape, with the outer part of the mask on the inside of the funnel, and pour a little water into the funnel. If the water leaks through the mask is useless. I’m pleased to report that, when I did this test, the water was completely contained in the ‘funnel’.On balance, whilst the masks may not guarantee protection from the virus if someone coughs or sneezes near you, I suspect wearing one will be better that not wearing one so, on balance, I’m happy with my purchase.

Cheaper available
Prompt delivery. I paid £17.20 for 20. In the photo with the girl in the haircap the mask looked like it was different to others available on Amazon and it stressed that it was medical quality - which it may be but they didn't come with any paperwork or certification so could be anything. I would think that they will at least provide better protection than a mask home- made from an old sock or T shirt. It covered most of the face and almost came up to the girl's ears - so looked large. However the ones that arrived look just like all the other blue ones on the website which you can buy 20 for about half the price or 50 for about £2.00 more. Also they feel small (I am of average size)I took a chance for the money ahead of Boris's announcement and now I see that they appear to be the same as others being offered on the internet (but not described as "Genuine - medical") so I do feel a bit ripped off and don't really know what I have bought. I subsequently noticed that other photos on the Ad are the same as the other blue ones so much cheaper options are available - and they do look much smaller on the girl's face.

Pretty good
Ok, well they came in a clear plastic package, not particularly medical looking. But they are pretty good, Have hoops for the ears that fit well with a squeezable bit across the nose part so you can make it fit better. The main part of it seems to be of a good quality and is pleated so you can pull it down to expand to cover your chin. I tried one at the supermarket yesterday and was pleased with it, but my glasses did still steam up a bit.

Effective but not Certificated [as described]
Purchased on the basis that these were original sealed bag items, only to find they were an apparent re-pack into a self-seal poly bag. Certainly there was no Quality Certificate enclosed and it wasn't until after receiving the pack that I saw the Quality Certificate [in the side bar of screenshots] referring to 50pcs, therefore these are not sterile per-se. Although I haven't had cause to use any as yet, it does appear that the side cords are welded to the fabric and therefore shouldn't separate as some other buyers have suggested - bottom line: they will act as a barrier to a degree.

OK for intended purpose.
They look very similar to the ones used in our local hospital but seem to be a bit flimsy by comparison. The ear cord came off the first one used but I managed to re attach it using an adhesive. There is a slight problem if you wear spectacles in that they must up quite badly if used correctly.

decent masks
These are what most ppl are using right now... standard hospital disposable masks. Hint: to get the best fit pull them apart fully and stretch well under the chin, keeping the nose holder just above the tip of your nose. If not they'll move up and block your eyes. Easy to get used to and secure tho.

OK, but very expensive
Seem to be the same as all other masks advertised: proof against particulate matter (dust etc on building sites) and probably liquid particles (coughs, sneezes); unlikely to be any protection against air-borne viruses or bacteria but better than nothing. Very expensive compared to others on Amazon, but with a shorter lead time.
