Professional Wooden Chess Set Board - Chess Set for Adults and Kids with Wood Pieces Board Game for Home and Travel

Needing something to pass the time during the quarantine, I decided to learn to play chess. I figured the price was right since I am a beginner and didn’t want to invest too much. So it’s not the quality which disappoints me like so many other reviewers noted, it’s the fact that PIECES are missing!! They have given me two white queens and no white rook!! And since the directions are also missing, the only way I know this is because I was smart enough to purchase the book “Chess for Dummies” when I ordered this set. After reading other reviews, I see missing pieces seem to occur often. Save yourself the frustration order a different brand even if it might cost a little more.

This wooden board comes with Chess pieces. But the wooden pieces are not weighted, so they often fall over. The Board is made of plywood and is very light weight. And the chessboard decal that comes on the surface is starting to peel off after three days of use. I am going to buy another board.

Lovely pieces, and board. The real wood is lightweight and of fine quality, delivering a pleasing report to the ear when the pieces are moved. Thunk klump. Wood is silky smooth and sturdy. I leave it out all the time. Am a beginner and play against myself, but keep losing to my opponent.

Very low quality. It started to peak off after the first game. Definitely not worth the $12.

My husband purchased it for our son and they both loved it . Very easy to put it away with all the pieces inside of it .

Bought this to play my co worker and was very happy. Well made and great price.

It would have been nice to have instructions of how to play chess since I'm a first-time user player
