The husband put this on easily, didnt take long, it meets the needs, found it to be sturdy, no bending, no need for strap, this style makes it easier with opening trunk; downside for girls bike is that I have to LIFT it higher and place it in a specific spot on the hooks. For the price of about $120 it serves my purpose as an occasional user (not daily/weekly), havent use d the key/lock BUT it looks pretty easy to do!

I did a fair amount of research before purchasing this bike rack. Wow there are a lot out there! This one does what it advertises and what I expected. It fit my 2014 Jeep with minimal grief during installation. I wanted something that I could still swing open my tailgate, and this is spot on. Basic design using leverage and fixed support combined works just fine. I only use it for one bike, I would recommend caution adding multiple bikes on a stock tailgate hinge due to weight which is not a knock on the rack.

EDIT:Support is extremely responsive. I gave them a picture of the part, order number, and my address. They immediately processed the replacement order. Very good customer service.___________________________ORIGINAL:First off, I think the overall design is great and I really want to like this thing, but during the install the "long extension" broke off as I was tightening it down. Sooo disappointed... There is no warning in the instructions about tightened tension level.If I can get a replacementment part I'm certain I'll love this and my rating will be a 5, but for now my rating is only a 2 because of the poor quality of the extension peice.Please be careful when tightening yours down.

Literally, nothing works for the parts that constitute the assembly.The screws strip, there are missing parts, and the entire contraption will not hold together. The instructions are incoherent.I just got ripped off, and Amazon supported the consumer fraud, and won’t deny this assertion.

Sturdy ... I drive a wrangler with bigger tires and rack still fits fine without any modifications... one of the bikes a specialized mtb has a wider bar on the frame that does not fit on one of the 2 bar grips but we’ve figured to mount that bike first (it secured with 1 grip) then mount the second bike with both grips secure ... IT WORKS .. good price as well

Product seems sturdy. Havent road tested yet. Instructions are lacluster and could be more helpful.The strap around oversized tires (235 or larger) doesnt work bc the strap is too short. My spare is a 235 and the strap would not go around as pictured.The central bolt seems flimsy to be the central supporting part of the whole rack. If it fails the whole thing will fall off.

Good sturdy rack works great on the back of my jeep,easy to install if you read the instructions ☺☺, I do think it's a little on the pricey side though

I had some concerns due to the low price of this rack but it seems to be very well made. Rack mounts securely to spare tire holder and I have no fears of the bike coming off of the rack. Big plus is that I can still use my aftermarket back-up camera (view is slightly obstructed but still useable). I am using this rack on a 2018 JK Wrangler.

Bought this almost 2 months ago but opened it few days ago so the return window is closed!It should’ve been good to be specified which Wrangler’s years work for this bike support!!It’s NOT working for latest models which have backup camera in the centre and couldn’t be taken off!

A penas instalé el rack y me costó mucho trabajo porque las piezas que vienen está muy justas para un Jeep Wrangler. El tornillo principal en el cual todo el rack se soporta, no se podía atornillar y tuve que utilizar un martillo y pinzas. Espero no se caiga.

JB64 サイクルラック　と検索して出てきたし、他の型のジムニーに取り付けているレビューもあるしで買いましたが、僕の取り付け方が間違ってなければJB64には加工が必要だと思います。スペアタイヤの取り付け方法が64は少し特殊なので、74シエラや他の車なら問題なく着くのだと思います。スペアタイヤのホイールナットで固定する円盤状の部品が、説明書を見ると12時か6時の角度どちらかで、穴の位置が合う方を選べと書いてますが64には妙な突起があるので一方向しか選べず、それではボルトと穴の位置が合いませんでしたので、円盤の外周方向に1cm弱穴を削って広げる必要がありました。多分アルミの5mm以下の厚みなので人力で削れるかもしれませんが電動工具がないと割と詰みです。また、本来はボディとスペアタイヤの間に円盤パーツを挟むように記載されていますが64では無理ですので、スペアタイヤより外側に円盤が見える状態で固定することになり少し見苦しいです。他社サイクルラックをJB64に取り付けている方も同じ取り付け方をしていましたので強度的な問題はないと思います。干渉していることに気づかず何度か挑戦してスペアのホイールが傷まみれになってしまいましたが。他のサイクルキャリア使ったことがないので比較できませんが、キャリア本体を車に固定しているのが、正確に測っていませんが6mmくらいの頼りないボルト一本なので絶対にベルトで補強した方がいいです。自転車をキャリアに固定する付属のゴムバンドの質が悪すぎて自転車に黒い油のような汚れがつきます。水拭きでは簡単に落ちない汚れです。さらに自転車を乗せる部分ですが自転車に傷をつけない素材、と読める説明書がありますが割と硬いプラスチックのような素材なので、上記の汚れ対策と合わせて保護フィルムやテープなどで予防が必須だと思います。僕の車では使わない部品でしたがネジ穴加工がされていない不良部品がありました。スペアタイヤのサイドウォールにキャリアを押し付けることで安定させているので、もしかしたらパンクしたタイヤだったら固定できないのでは…？という不安があります。とまぁ気になったところを先に書きましたが使用感としては満足しています。たった10cmだけですが取り付け位置を左右に振れるおかげで、自転車のフロントタイヤを外せばギリギリJB64の車幅に収まるように積載できました。もちろん自転車やホイールのサイズによりますが。簡単に展開、収納出来て安定感も問題ありません。ガチガチにベルトで補強してるおかげもありますが、千キロ以上走っても傾いたりしていません。一週間くらいかかって海外から届いたので、もし不良があった場合対応などどうかはわかりませんがとりあえずいい商品だと思います。
