Sursip 20Oz Borosilicate Glass Water Bottle, Reusable Drinking Bottles with Stainless Steel Lid and Silicone Sleeves - BPA Free

I wanted a replacement for my Contigo water bottle (which met an unfortunate end when it froze in a hotel minifridge). Photo shows Contigo on the left and this product on the right. At a price of $24, this six pack is a similar price to a single Contigo water bottle. It would be unfair to expect the same quality. Both are sold as a 20 oz container. The Contigo carries about 2 liquid ounces greater in volume than this product.This product:-Glass is a bit thinner.-Lid is very thin metal (not sure if it is stainless) with a plastic "liner" and removable silicone-looking gasket, which forms the liquid seal. The first time I opened the water bottle, the gasket was sticking to the glass rather than stuck up in the lid. The gasket edges are a little rough looking, which gives me a little pause on how clean it will stay over time. Again, I am comparing this to a really nice Contigo lid that is satisfyingly heavy and has the gasket permanently fused to the lid. Threads are not compatible between the two different vendors.-The outside silicone protector is also thinner than the Contigo (by about a factor of 2). I am not worried about tearing, but was just a bit disappointed when I saw it.So overall, my recommendation strongly depends on what you want to do with it. In this case, it seems you get what you pay for. It is indeed water tight and hold liquids.

So far I really like this product! The silicone grip is actually very good at cushioning the bottle from being set down too hard. They are removable, though we haven’t tried taking them off and putting them back on, yet. I read an article about how they’re not actually recycling plastic and just burying it in the ocean (wth, people???), so I got ticked tf off and then I got these to replace the plastic ones we use at the office where I work. I am not playing with the environment or the sea turtles, y’all. Legit, everything is on fire. Don’t y'all think we should save what’s in our oceans? Get ya some of these bottles, some silicone or bamboo or steel straws, QUIT USING PLASTIC BAGS FTLOG, and help us try and put this “dumpster fire made by a bunch of lazy, cheap people who don’t like cute aquatic creatures and like...having water,” out.

$20 for 6 bottles is pretty good to me, and I had read previous reviews about the caps so I wasn't expecting too much. I found that most of the caps will unglue over time, meaning the metal will unstick from the plastic threading. It's not a huge deal but it does make it harder to twist closed. I have about 2 now that have stayed glued after 6 or so months.The silicone sleeves only protect what they cover, obviously. One of the bottles tipped over, while empty, and shattered, so you really have to take care and not let them fall on the exposed glass. Also if you ever plan to remove the silicone sleeves, you will not be able to. They are on tight.Overall though still happy with them since they have no odor or discoloration after regular use.

I have the 20 oz small mouth and LOVE them. They fit comfortably in my hand and are easy to drink from and have found that I am drinking more water and easily measures how much water I drink per day. I use them only for water so I keep them filled in the refrigerator so one is always handy. I take them everywhere with me and have had no issues with cracks or breakage. I use them every day and am planning on ordering another set of 6 - highly recommend!

BACK STORY: My Reverse Osmosis kitchen unit broke a year ago and I couldn't afford to replace it right away. So like most American's, I started purchasing bottled water. After a while, we decided to continue to purchase water wasn't a bright idea or economical, so we replaced our RO system and now we bottle our own. I chose these bottles because they are glass and my wife and daughters would enjoy the silicon covers. Their primary use is water so cleaning isn't an issue. We bottle our own water so we no longer have to buy it.

I got these to use for our morning to go coffee. They are great, until they aren’t anymore. Good size. I like the silicone protection and different colors. They hold heat relatively well. BUT..... the inner round silicone liner that seals the lid when you close it pops out super easy (we weren’t trying to get it out, just using the container) and never is secure again. So as we drink our coffees, the silicone inner ring liner either ends up on our lap (coffee stains on our clothes) or inside the drink. And then it’s no longer sealed and leaks. Disappointed ... I really wanted to love these. The search continues.

I like the bottles overall but unfortunately we have already broken two of them. I dropped one and it shattered right away and my boyfriend put one in the freezer and it broke. Overall, they are nice but may not be super hardy.

These bottles are the perfect size! We love them!
