Wireless Meat Thermometer for Grilling, Bluetooth Digital Cooking Food

Having just purchased a new pellet grill I wanted to have a remote meat thermometer that would sync to my phone so I wouldn't have to go outside constantly to check the temp. As such, I saw this product and with the ratings thought it would work great. I was very excited to get my first brisket smoked on my new grill and looked forward to having this unit help me to be able to stay somewhat close by but not have to sit outside and monitor things (anyone who's smoked a brisket knows this can be a 12-15hr process, so no having to go back and forth to the grill is a pretty important thing).I unpackaged the unit and was pleased with the look and the fact that it came with batteries. After hooking it up I downloaded the app on my Samsung phone and sync'd it with the unit. All was working great so far! Of course that's when problems started.First off, I went inside the house and closed the sliding glass door to the patio. Sitting down to watch TV for a bit I was no more than 20' from the grill and my phone lost sync with the unit. Thinking that maybe I had just move out of range, I went back outside and never regained sync. I had to manually re-pair. This happened again and again even though I was well within 20-40' of the unit until I finally gave up on keeping it paired (rebooted the unit a number of times as well thinking that might help). I have a Samsung S8+ that I had fully charged at the beginning of the day.Secondly, about 6hrs into grilling the brisket, the unit just shut off. I turned it back on, and when it came on the probe temp was showing 31deg....frozen? I had to pull the batteries and put them back in to get it to reread the temp correctly. Thank goodness the new grill had it's own probe temp which worked flawlessly the whole time (just no remote capability). An hour later, same problem. Unit was off for no reason. Struggled with it a few more times until I finally had the brisket done (just ended up travelling back and forth to the grill the remainder of the day using the grill's built in probe...the whole point of getting this was to prevent that).ProsGreat, large and easy to read display.ConsWouldn't stay sync'd with Bluetooth. Wouldn't stay paired. Didn't re-pair automatically.Unit randomly shut off even though it had new batteriesUnit was displaying wildly inaccurate temperatures until it was rebooted.Overall this was a great LOOKING unit that basically wasn't worth the time or effort. Have already packed it up to return to Amazon. Definitely would not recommend.

When I first rec'd this product, I was very impressed with the look and features & couldn't wait to try it out. 3 probes, grill insert probe holders, bluetooth capable, and multiple meat profiles/alert settings. The first time I used this with my smoker, I was sure to keep my phone close by since bluetooth range is sometimes limited. It was working great, but then I noticed that I had an alert on my phone that Mission 1 was complete and lost BT connection after a couple of hours into an 8 hr cook. I checked the thermometer and it had shut down, easy fix....just power it back on and reconnect BT. Unfortunately, same thing had happened again the next time I checked within 30 minutes. It gave me an error of "peripheral electricity shortage". I swapped batteries (AA Duracell Alkaline) thinking maybe I had put a bad set in. I continued to have the same issue and just used the probes that came with my smoker instead. I tried it again the next weekend, same error again about batteries being dead. This time I opened up a new package of Energizer AA Alkaline, but still had the same issue of the thermometer powering down due to low batteries. I called customer support, no answer during business hrs. I emailed and got a reply back to change my batteries for the 3rd time after using the thermometer 4 times! I replied that there is obviously a problem with this unit, but have yet to get a reply after a week. I requested a replacement online, still no response after 5 days. I called again yesterday and left a vm....still waiting for a response. DON'T BUY THIS UNIT, BATTERY MONSTER....CAN'T BE TRUSTED.

This unit is easy to set up, use and appears to be extremely rugged. The unit comes with three probes and a very bright large LED display with two colors that are easy to read even from a distance. The unit is very accurate, and you can use all three probes simultaneous;y. You can set alarm for each probe measurement individually. BT pairing and phone app ready to set up and use, I used Android app. Probes are sheathed in stainless steel jacket and are very flexible and easy to clean. Highly recommended!

I've already had to replace batteries twice in this unit in the past month and a half. The bluetooth range is relatively limited so you can't go far with your phone without losing connection. And for me to regain connection, I have to close the app and restart it. The app is relatively easy to understand and the temperature readings appear to be accurate. 3 probes are nice.

The first one would not hold the temp I set and the alarm kept going off. Reset it 3 times before deciding to return it. The second one came the next day, and this time it worked. The 90 feet range is pretty accurate, wish it would go just a little more, but can live with that. Nice reels that the probes come on, and a good way to keep them to avoid kinks in the lines.

Product worked okay but seemed like battery died fast and would loose signal at the other end of my home that is a 1200 square ft home. I contacted the company and they informed that I may have a defective device and quickly shipped me out a new one and has worked well since that time. Highly impressed with the customer service.

Very accurate for cooking meat. You can cook More than one meat with this meat thermometer very accurate easy to use a great buy.

This product appears to be well made and easy to use. After downloading the app from the Google Play Store and installing it, it required location and picture and video permission. This was concerning to me since this is only a meat thermometer, so I returned it.
