They love it
I have a sweet pair of parakeets that I received when they were two years old. I have bought other types of nests for them as the male very much wants to have a family. I added six tiny pieces of paper to her last box-style nest, and she wouldn't touch it afterward.This coconut hut home is Miss Lacey approved. She and Vincent picked at the top cording until now it looks like a shaggy haircut. There aren't any issues with the cording giving way. It is built well and a good-sized opening for them to get in and out. A cozy little spot to start a family.

Budgies like to play on it
Parakeet loves to play with but instead of making it home they destroyed it 😀. It was destroying toy for my budgies.
