One year on
Ok, so I’ve owned this coat for a year now and here’s what I’ve found -I’m a builder and bought this for work for its heating ability which I’ve got to say has worked well and has been reliable, however I strongly recommend the purchase of the hoodie version or an alternative as if it’s worn as I wear it with a sweatshirt and t shirt underneath as I’m sure most people will then you don’t really feel the heat coming through those other layers so I stopped using it’s heat function as I didn’t really feel it was that beneficial. I appreciate this isn’t a flaw of the actual coat, it’s just how I use it, if you just had a t shirt underneath you would certainly feel the heat against your body but I’m sure like most people it wouldn’t be worn like this in the winter. My main gripe is the very poor quality of the outer material, the tear you can see in the outer fabric was caused by carrying a few concrete blocks over a couple of minutes the first week of owning it, the material just tears very very easily and a year on there must be approx 20 tears/small nicks in the fabric, it’s just not up to being used as a work coat. I think for the price point it’s at, it should be much better quality, it would be fine as a casual/leisure coat but it’s certainly not up to being used by a tradesman.I have found that the answer lies in the Milwaukee m12 hoodie used under an outer coat works very well as you get the heat closer to your skin and you really feel the warmth of the heat it puts out. This one is just under a year old and it’s going in the bin this weekend as the zip broke today so it’s now junk, Milwaukee, you need to up the quality of the outer material as it’s just not good enough which is a shame as it’s a great fit and very comfortable, I’m pretty gutted tbh but it’s junk to be so trashed after just one year
