There is only one reason that I gave this 4 stars instead of five, and that is the way it's packaged. They fold it in half and roll it up. It develops a fold in the middle and other wrinkles that don't just come out after a few days and it won't lay nice and flat. I eventually got the idea of taking a hot hair drier to it to smooth it out. It worked like a charm but you have to be careful because if you hold it to one spot for too long it will start to melt It should be packaged flat so it arrives looking like the picture. Now that I've got the material relaxed and laying flat, I like it very much but if my attempt to flatten it hadn't worked I would have returned it, it looked so bad.

Ordered because my lab creates an absolute pool when he drinks water. With this mat my wood floors are no longer being damaged daily. Gonna purchase a 2nd one for my other dog

I like this feeding mat due to the fact it is BPA and toxic free as it looks like it was made of plastic but it’s made soft pvc material. My dogs make a mess when drinking water and this catches it all which is great so water mess on floor. Most feeding mats will build up mold underneath but this won’t due to the material it was made of and it’s easy to clean just hand wash cold water and shake any food particles off. Great feeding mat for dogs or cats!

We chose this mat because it looked good, was the perfect size, and most of all was labeled as waterproof. IT IS NOT WATERPROOF! It can be easily cleaned, looks good, and seems to be durable, but water seeps right through it. If you have a pet that splashes water or spills water from the bowl, it will seep right through to the carpet or floor beneath. I would not recommend this mat based on how porous it is.

Got this mat because my dogs were getting water on the hardwood floors and were scooting the bowl around as they drank. This mat stays put on the floor, keeps the bowl in place, and keeps the water off the hardwood! Great buy.

I’ve had this mat for about a month and it seemed to be working well, however, when I moved it it had stuck to the hardwood. Parts of the mat were stuck to the floor and was quite difficult to scrub off. Be careful if using on hardwood floors!

It took me forever to finally buy this and took me equally as long to review- I have three INCREDIBLY picky cats. My older cat won’t even walk on certain carpets if she thinks they feel weird. We had just put in laminate plank flooring so I was really needing something waterproof to go under their water bowls- and this thing is great. I got the xtra large one, and it’s a perfect size for a kitty fountain, a regular water bowl and a bowl of food all spaced out nicely. And the best part is that none of them mind the way it feels when they step on it. It’s 100% waterproof and it’s super easy to clean (I just shake it out outside or use the hose attachment on my vaccuum; sweeping it doesn’t do much but that’s good that it traps bits of food) I’m going to buy a bunch more to put under litter boxes these things are great

I was so excited to try this feeding mat. My puppy is an absolute terror and continually tries to swim in his water bowl. To save myself from stepping in water every three seconds and whipping down the floors several times a day, I thought I’d give this a go.How about no. Within five minutes of me putting it down and leaving the room, my little terror had ripped one of the corners to shreds. I’m sure he thought it was hilarious, but I wasn’t impressed. Anyway, this mat also didn’t withstand my boy's water habits. Maybe it’s because he poured out half his water bowl, but this thing was soaked to the floor and left a mucky pocket of water between it and the floor. Definitely didn’t absorb well enough for my puppy.If your dog isn’t an jerk and doesn’t have a drinking problem, maybe this would work. But if your dog is like mine, don’t bother.

Not fit for purpose only had a day and small daschund put holes in it trying to get spilt food which gets stuck in the matting. Looks like a rug on website not like the material it actually is.

When I peeled off a sticker on the back it took some of the backing with it. The mat is a little thin but the size compensates for coverage.
