Not cotton and not velvet as described.
I'm not sure what this material is. Definitely synthetic. Some kind of brushed polyester? It's fine. Fairly thick, and probably very washable, so it's probably good enough for my purposes (to protect my pillows from dog hair and dirt). I bought two and they seem well made. Not what I'd want if I wanted nice-looking pillow covers though. The fabric is not anything you've seen pillow covers made of before. The pics are of the back and the front of the fabric.
