First off, I noticed the reviews for this listing is not particularly for the anti-bark device listed. Secondly, the device not only did not work but caused ear sensitivity for me. Although, I did not hear sounds emitted from it, after installing it and using for about a week, I noticed my inner ear had some sensitivity. The only thing different in my environment was the this device. So I turned it off for a few days to see if the sensitivity in my ear would get better. It did immediately the next day. Full disclosure, I was the only one in my family that had this problem, but the device was placed on a fence line outside my bedroom window so I was the one closest to it and had the most exposure. Maybe, I am particularly sensitive to it, but others should be cautious.The device did not lessen or deter barking dogs next door. I sent it back for a refund. Would not buy or recommend to others.

Showed up not working. Had to put a strong rubberband around it to squish it together because thats the only way it would work. Probably a loose connection inside. Can definitely hear when it activates, but needs to be fairly close and did not seem to phase the dogs at all. Would be nice if you could have it plugged in WHILE turned on. Since you can't, you have to charge it every day or two. It once got pretty hot while charging also.

I always have my doubts however in this one it actually works it is like night and day no dogs barking a little bit of barking in the beginning and then it stops. Now it seems that some of them don’t work however the one that I have works great I recommend this one and so far the new ones have a lithium battery and it’s rechargeable

The most annoying thing about this device is it’s inability to only pick up barking noise. It’s noise activated so you don’t want it to go off every time it picked up any kind of noise. Well this does. I’d your just softly talking anywhere by it it will activate. The dog’s not going to learn their barking is what causes the sound to emit, and therefore won’t correct their behavior.

This is a nifty little thing, but it didn't work for us for a couple reasons:1. If you have a small dog, and/or a dog who is more prone to whining, shrieking, or howling than to standard barking, this thing may not pick it up. My dog is of that variety, and often this device doesn't go off when he does it.2. This thing has a lot of false positives. Human speech, setting things on the countertop, touching the device itself, etc can set it off even at the lowest sensitivity level. So we only turn it on when we're out of the house.Basically, my dog was hearing the noise a lot when he wasn't barking, and only sometimes when he was barking, so he never put anything together. Honestly he seems to somehow bark a little more now. Bummer.

I’ve tried everything to get my dog to not howl while I’m gone. This worked day 1 with no training period. Maybe now my neighbors will hate me less. Would give it 5 stars, but now my dog has anxiety when I leave. She hates it, but I love it.

After one heavy rain shower the unit filled with water and started to malfunction, emitting an audible beep at the slightest of sounds even when switched off. Thankfully I was within the return period.I figured I'd give it two stars because the neighbor's dog appeared to bark less frequently, but ultimately the device failed within a month due to water intrusion.

Item came with USB cord for charging but the instructions were for a 9 volt battery operation with no mention of the USB charging protocol. Connected the USB to begin charging and 12 hours later it still was not charged. After trying to charge for 24 hours with no success I returned the bark deterrent.
