This knife came beautifully packaged for gifting and the quality is wonderful! Nice weight and balance. Handle is a dense man-made material that won't be damaged by water. It has a very sharp blade that holds it's edge. I know because I sharpened all my knives at the same time and this remained very sharp long past time to resharpen my other knives. And it's not because I used this knife less than the others. On the contrary, this is the most heavily used knife in our kitchen.I only gave this knife a 4-star rating on comfort because it isn't contoured to the hand like a Cutco knife, but it is a very nice and reasonably comfortable handle.My only regret on this purchase is that it I didn't purchase some as gifts, at it's original price.

I do a lot of cooking for my family. I have several chef knives and am constantly looking to upgrade. This was inexpensive for a chef knife, but I was pleasantly suprised. After I washed it, my first use was cutting up a beef roast to make beef stew. This knife cut thru that thick roast like it wasn't there. Have used it cutting up several diffent foods (veggies, fruit, etc) and this knife is awesome! Seems to be holding it's edge as well. This knife came to me very sharp right out of the box, so don't get careless with it. Don't ask me how I know. lol.

I really cannot complain about the quality of this knife. I have had it for about three months, and it still holds up marvelously, and I bought it on sale for $50, so it was a great price for such a high quality knife. I have never had any issues cutting anything. I guess the only thing that I could say about it is that it came in the wrong size box when I got it, so when I opened the Amazon box, the knife was not in a box of it's own, so just be careful when you open the package.

Wow, what a difference from the cheap knives at Walmart. After getting this knife, I've come to the realization that I've been using imitation knives my entire life. Now at the age of 50, I feel like I've gotten my first adult knife. This knife has a nice heavy weight to it, and it slices through all my fruits and veggies with ease. I'm never going to buy a crappy Walmart Knife again, and the best thing about this knife is that I got it at a great price too, without sacrificing quality.

it came moderatly sharp and it has a nice weight, its pretty balanced and straight. but the knife didnt fit well in the packaging, it looked as if it was forced into the foam, and there are scratch marks in the hilt and small dents/ scratches in the side.

I bought the full-tang Chef Knife, which arrived promptly in a nice little box. It seems to be a VERY nice knife for the price; sturdy, well constructed, balanced, and VERY sharp. I look forward to using this knife quite a bit, and am adding it to my list for consideration in future gifting. The MFR Customer Service Department is also very conscientious, soliciting any concerns I might have shortly after arrival. I'm happy to say there are none so far...

Arrived with a bent tip. Knife does not appear to have the strength of the quality of steel they claim it is made from.

I got on sale, I'm not sure what it is normally. I don't know enough about knives to say whether it's worth it at a higher price point, but it's probably the best or second best knife I've ever used, and was totally worth what I paid.Very comfortable, cuts through everything I've put under it like butter, and hasn't rusted or lost sharpness in the time I've had it.
