This Misting Fan will BLOW YOU AWAY!
I needed a powerful ceiling-mount fan in my garage. The misting feature is cool, it works, I don't use it. Installation of the fan involved me sinking a 3/8" 3" lag bolt into a ceiling joist. I tightened the two 1/2" hex nuts once I got the angle I wanted. I plugged it in. I pulled the cord, and even on the lowest setting this thing moves an impressive amount of air. I wanted it to keep me cool, and also to prevent any dust from coming in my garage/workshop (especially when I'm painting).I've also used it on my covered patio with the misting attachment. It is also a very fast and simple installation (basically if you can screw in a water hose you are good to go). Nice of them to include a filter, since hose water will destroy just about anything over time. The mist combined with the fan will cool you down by a good 20 degrees, very nice feature in Houston.I looked at those misting systems, but they looked cheap and not terrible effective. This thing isn't going to win any design awards for beauty, but it gets the job done.

Misting Fans and mounting
These fans are very powerful even at their lowest setting. I made and installed angle iron brackets to hang the fans under the corners of our back porch roof. We live in S. Florida, and these fans extend the time we can be outdoors in the summer. I installed the misting rings with the black tubing that came with the kit. I connected the black tubing to lengths of garden hoses and garden hose splitters to connect to a heavy duty garden hose splitter at the faucet end that I use for my garden hose and real. I attached the in line water filter supplied to one end of the splitter, and attached the lengths of garden hoses to the filter. The splitters come with shut off valves you can use to reduce the volume of water going to the mister rings. Even with the valve almost shut off, the misters put out plenty of moisture, and definitely keep the back porch much cooler, the plants love it.

Way Cool
Installed this under the eaves of patio. YAY is super. It is very strong and misters work great. Easy to assemble and install. We noticed a Huge difference in heat on patio immediately and the Fan is super strong. We have yet to put on High as it would blow us away LOL.Very well made and High quality. Built to last for many years in elements. I put a small plastic cover that they use in the ceilings to protect from environment but in California we don't have much weather so it should last forever.Nice touch that their mister ring comes off so you can soak in vinegar to clean any hard water deposits.
