Azoo one great filter
I have the Mignon 60 on a nano tank and love it. So when I wanted a bigger filter I did not hesitate in getting the 1000.... that is actually a lie. I actually researched quite few filters before trying this one. Just so happened a YT was doing a series on HOB and I was very interested in the Seachem Tidal. Before I go in on the review I would like to address an issue I have with the seller on the question section. I have been in the hobby for some time now. So I say this with complete confidence that you take the GPH and divide it by 4 and that is how big of a tank it can handle. In this case this should do a 65 gallon tank. The PROS:1) It is HUGE! The GPH output is 263 and that puts this in the big boy HOB side. So this means the more customization you can do. Nothing better than hot rodding your filter. I personally added Purigen pack and my water is crystal!2) It comes with a prefilter sponge for the intake. That means this is Shrimp friendly and fry friendly. No need to hunt down a prefilter.3) It has a flow control, this is important if you have fancy fish or fragile inhabitants.4) The Price savings is HUGE on this unit.5) The depth or for me at least. I needed a HOB that would handle a 50G lowboy. That means the tank is only 10" tall and with 1" of substrate I was worried about the HOBs intake tube. This one is perfect, I was able to give myself 1" from the substrate. The Cons:1) It has a small foot on the bottom that keeps it leveled and away from the glass. The issue is that it is just a circle meaning that you are really limited on how leveled you can keep it.2) It does have the motor outside the tank meaning once you loose power you have to prime it to get the flow going.3) Not much on the filter is available, meaning not many reviews and experiences.4) It is becoming a more popular HOB due to the mini being so popular that the price will likely increase as time goes by. In fact I have one in my cart as I wait for the price to come back down.5) The filter media for replacements are hard to come by if you want to use the Azoo product line. However, as many users will tell you, just buy some bulk floss, cut your own coarse sponge, and Purigen and toss the carbon cartridge.I really did not want to do this review in fear of it growing in popularity but this filter deserves some love form the community.

Absoluetly Fantastic HOB!
I have had the tiny AZOO filters on betta tanks in the past and loved them. Strong, quiet and was able to put a sponge on the intake to keep the beta from sticking to the inlet (why do they do that?). Needed a HOB for a 15 and 22 gallon tank but wanted something reliable, quiet and inexpensive. Have had the other HOB (Aqueon, Marineland, Aquaclear) and they were loud, $$$, unreliable (die within months), or a pain to prime if you loose power. My tiny Azoos were always reliable and would start immediately after a power outage or tank cleaning without having to refill or top off. You can only imagine how happy I was to see that the same design came in bigger sizes so I did not hesitate to pick up one for my 15 gallon and 22 gallon. Yes it came with a cartridge, but it also came with sponges and it wasn't hard for me to customize the generously sized interiors to add extra media and deeded sponges and remove the unneeded cartridge with carbon. I have fallen in love with these all over again, so much quieter than the other HOBs in this size range and no comparison to a sponge filter with noisy air pump. If you haven't already made up your mind to try it, just do- you will have no regrets. OK well maybe one, the intake portion is a U shape, so it can be a little difficult to clean down the road. I find the big pipe-cleaner craft stick work well, along with a strong spray of water. Honestly that is my only con for the filter, plus they come with intake sponges to keep your smaller fish/shrimp out of the filter and add extra mechanical and biological filtration. Just remember to gently clean it out and it will easily last the year without replacement.

Great Filters for the Money
Great hob filters, all models. Priced better than the leading brand and just as efficient. I like to changethe filter medium around and perhaps discard the ones provided but that in no way takes away from theseFine filters. Always go with Model 150 rather than model 60 for small tanks. Azoo makes great aquarium products.

Design doesnt support its own weight.
The device arrived in perfect condition. Hanging from the back of standard 55 glass, under its own weight and that of the contents of its reservoir, the plastic grew cracks that spread rapidly across the return chute and reservoir basket. Ive had great experiences with smaller azoo filters, but this one was a total loss in less than a month.
